"Suite Surrender" opens at Cherokee Civic Theatre
A frantically funny farce about an out of control 1943 USO show, a luxury hotel and two Hollywood divas who hate each other
"Suite Surrender" by Michael McKeeveris CCT's final production of the 2023-2024 season - and it's a doozy: a face-paced comic farce set in 1943. Two Hollywood stars who despise each other are booked for the same USO show...and then they end up booked into the same hotel suite! Hilarious chaos ensues as the hotel staff tries to keep them apart while lost loves are reunited, identities are mistaken, and the US Navy invades the swimming pool. Will the stars meet up? Will the roses be delivered to the right person? Will someone PLEASE take the dog for walkies?
Add to all this fun, is CCT's own version of a USO show - complete with songs & comedy - to round out a great time for all at every performance. Performances are Friday & Saturday, May 3 & 4 @ 7:30pm and Saturday May 11 @ 7:30pm with a Sunday matinee May 12 @ 2pm. The production is sponsored by Carmella Hawkins, Texas Farm Bureau Insurance,
